Thank you to all at Northstar Conversions for the side conversion to our Toyota Alphard, we absolutely love it!
The colours and the finish are great and there's much more space than we were expecting.
We took it to France last week to try it out for the first time and see where we could stash everything
There's LOADS of space for storage of bedding in the built-in cupboard next to the sink and we used storage boxes from IKEA to make use of the space underneath the bed.
Four can be slotted underneath the bed and accessed from the rear of the van. The small seat at the back of the van is just the right size to take another few boxes and when the bed is in position the boxes from the back seat slide underneath the bed accessed from the side door.
We've been camping in tents for years so enjoyed the convenience of turning up at campsites and having to do very little else.
And it's even easier when you want to move on!
If you're able to make the time to visit Northstar on the Isle of Wight to get an idea of the fixtures and fittings it's worth doing.
Carol picked us up from the Red Jet terminal when we arrived from Southampton and showed us around the workshop. Nothing is hidden, you can see all the works in progress.
We were talked through the options available and shown the different colours and finishes available for upholstery, cabinets and flooring.
Different lighting options were offered and explained to us so we decided on some coloured LED's as well as reading lights above the bed and the swivel front passenger seat.
After deciding on the specification we wanted we were given a detailed quotation to check before we proceeded.
The work was completed within the agreed time-frame and at the agreed price.
The service and communication have been brilliant and the end-product is excellent!
We are happy to recommend Northstar to anyone considering having a conversion done.
