Northstar Conversions Ltd

After various quotes from different converters we choose NorthStar based on feedback from the various Facebook forums.
The guys did not pressure us in to any decisions and even put our order on hold for the first half of the year while we sorted a few things, a little trip over a month before the build took place to look around their business and finalise the spec again the guys know their stuff and helped us make the most of our vehicle.
The ferry over for the vehicle and back is a nice touch.  I dropping it off for a 3 week turnaround and we picked it up on a Saturday.
Picked up from the RedJet and a nice mug of tea and biscuits on arrival, we got to look around it straight away with no pressure at all, the guys then came out and showed us how everything worked and what they had to do to complete the build with me being techie, I wanted to know all about how the solar panel and electrics worked more than how lovely the van looked.
If we had one thing to say about the service it would be the presentation of the vehicle could be more polished with the vehicle having a wash and polish before presenting it to the new owners.
Overall we were very pleased on how the van turned out and the friendliness of the staff and owners.
Also we tested out the install on the island for a few days and popped back to NC the solar panel controls were very bright and they were more than happy to fit a door to hide the unit.
Awesome after care service a trusted business in my eyes, honest hard-working and want to make the customer happy.

We have just collected our Toyota Alphard and Northstar we couldn't recommend highly enough! We purchased the van from them and they have fitted it with a rear conversion. The finish is absolutely awesome and Carol, Adam and the team are so friendly and helpful. If you’re looking for a brilliant conversion with a company that offer excellent customer service, regular updates, and who are honest, experienced & knowledgeable in their field...go straight to Northstar. They won’t disappoint.
They even offer to pick you up from the ferry. Nothing is too much trouble for these guys.

Where on earth do I begin? From the moment Carol emailed me to start the discussion regarding the requirements for my Elgrand, I knew I had chosen the perfect company! Nothing was too much trouble, every little detail was taken care of and my word is she fantastic with kids - even allowing my son Leigh to have a van named after him. As for the workmanship, flawless, immaculate, stunning, amazing - all words that don't come close to describing the job done! I would not hesitate in recommending Northstar to anybody, they truly are amazing. Needless to say, we will be back soon for further upgrades. We went to Northstar conversions to look at an Alfphard, and have it converted. The vehicle presented was in good condition. I have worked in the motor trade for 50 years, so I know what I'm looking at.
Carol & Adam worked hard showing us there work processes in the workshop and some finished vehicles.
The standard of workmanship was excellent. And we had been and visited other businesses in our search for a camper. They helped us choose the colour and type of finishes we liked. Nothing was to much trouble.
We now can't wait for the Alfphard to be finished. We would certainly recommend Northstar conversions for buying a vehicle and have a conversation carried out by them.

We recently had the pleasure of working with Northstar Conversions to transform our Peugeot Expert MWB into a stunning campervan. Our journey began online, where we discovered Northstar after other converters, mainly focused on VW vans, left us feeling underwhelmed. The difference with Northstar was apparent from our first visit to their Isle of Wight facility, where Northstar warmly welcomed us. We spent a good couple of hours touring the workshop, observing conversions in progress, and selecting our colour schemes and Northstar explained the various options available to us.

Throughout the process, Northstar kept us in the loop with frequent photo updates via WhatsApp. She was also proactive in reaching out to us for clarifications on various details as the work progressed.

The true magic happened a month later when we collected our van. To say we were amazed is an understatement. The craftsmanship is first-class, reflecting the dedication and skill of the Northstar team. On top of everything, they are just lovely people to deal with and make you feel part of the Northstar family.

So now we look forward to adventures in our beautifully converted campervan. Thanks to Northstar, our dream of the perfect getaway vehicle is now a reality. We cannot recommend them highly enough to anyone looking to embark on their own campervan journey.

Just back from Northstar Conversions after having an "Outback" conversion to our Toyota Alphard. To say we are pleased is an understatement, it looks amazing! Carol, Adam and their team were extremely helpful, nothing was a bother, any changes we made were not an issue. A very professional company in a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommend to anyone considering a conversion.

I looked at a few companies before selecting Northstar but decided they were one of the most knowledgable and experienced converters of Japanese imported vans and so chose them.  This was wise as there turns out to be quite a few mechanical considerations on the base vehicle which they are fully familiar with.

They were terrific to work with taking my initial ideas and special requirements and created a custom conversion which works superbly well.  I’ve now used my van quite a lot and wouldn’t change a thing.

They really know their stuff and had some great ideas.  They were able to answer technical questions simply and explain pros and cons of various options.  Specifying my van with Northstar was an easy and enjoyable experience.

Quality of workmanship was exceptionally high taking great pride in their work and they paid attention to small details.  Fit out is first class and solidly built using top quality materials, no squeaks or rattles.  When driving I forget that the back is completely different and I expect the conversion will last a very long time.

I found their pricing to be very reasonable with extras and alterations at little additional cost and some done free!  Certainly I have a unique and better quality van at less cost than buying one ready done from a dealer.

I live in the East of England and optionally made a couple visits to see progress and this was far easier than I thought it was going to be, ferry’s are very good to the IOW and Northstar were very accommodating of my visit times.  They also sent me photos and regular updates as works progressed.

The business owners, Adam and Carol, are lovely friendly people and are very helpful and caring. So much so that I’ve made some new friends.

I’ll be keeping my van for many years but will definitely use them again if I want another one done.

If you are looking for any work to a Nissan Elgrand or Toyota Alphard, be it a full side or rear conversion or even just a pop top roof or upgrade such as solar panels then I’d definitely use Northstar.

I was very impressed when I first met Carol, Adam and team. They all clearly were very knowledgeable and there were plenty of options in choice of base vehicle and conversions.
The quality of the workmanship is excellent and a very good range of material colours etc.

Super happy with our Northstar Vellfire conversion. Northstar are absolutely brilliant and would highly recommend them to buy from . Great company. Everything ….from start to finish ….. was excellent. 
They did exactly what we wanted, and even came up with some creative ideas for overcoming any small problems. Kept us in the loop at all times and kept in regular contact.

Great service from start to finish by all the team at northstar,very helpful and accommodating.We chose the WUW service so they incorporate the price of the ferry over and a camper for the day to do a tour of the island.Would definitely recommend and you get a little tour of the workshops and get advice on anything they have done.

I highly recommend the team at Northstar for your conversion. Everything from the initial meeting where we explored options and finishes for our Elgrand , nothing was too much trouble. They even arranged to get our van when it finally arrived in the country and kept me informed throughout the whole process
